In our country, more severe laws must be implemented
against illegal fishing, since its damage is not only economic, but they also
damage the ecosystem by not respecting minimum measures, gender and closures. Moreover,
non-recommended tools such as explosives or lock picks are used and cause a
painful death to the animal and affect the ecosystem of the species.
The effort of the State to prevent these illegal acts,
such as the supervision of the fish flour plants and other products for direct
human consumption, hasn’t been enough. What we need is coordination between
authorities such as the Prosecutor´s Office and the Judiciary and thus,
intervene in these illegal plants, through operations in high fishing areas for
anchovy. In addition to the law that stipulates PRODUCE as the only authority
that can grant fishing permits, we can reduce illegal fishing in our country
and have formality as an important pillar for the conservation of species and
our economy.
At Hayduk Corporation we are 100% committed to providing
formal fishing, complying with each of the processes required to achieve it. Besides,
our organization, through the National Fisheries Society, has been fighting
against the illegal fishing of endangered species, of species in closed seasons,
illegal methods and more. As a society we must also be judges and not continue to
fuel this illicit business. For that reason, we recommend being informed about
the closed seasons in our country and thus, not buying fishing that will never
be recovered.
