The report has been developed once again under the
standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and it shows the
contribution of the industry in the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development
Goals (SDG). In this sense, it has been reported about its contribution to the
development of the country, relationship with the communities, sustainability
of the resource, environmental management, compliance and ethics, among others.
Also, some initiatives for responsible fishing have been included such as the
implementation of the Salvamares program, which objective is to look out for
the care of the marine ecosystem through scientific information and the liberation
of species that interact with the fishing of anchovy, horse mackerel and
mackerel.
It is important to point out that GRI is present in
over 100 countries and recognizes the NFS as the only union in its category to
report results about sustainability. At Hayduk Corporation we are convinced
that as a category we will be an example for others so they can take that step
towards sustainability, not only thinking about the present, but also in the
future.
