Proof of this is the PESCADATA SNP initiative, developed by the National Society of Fishery and that is part of the Salvamares Program. It is a complete system of collection of information during fishing activities that allows determining, for example, the density of fish and zooplankton per nautical mile, in addition to remaining updated. Also, there is Humboldt Resiliente, a virtual platform that accounts for the advances of the fishing sector to mitigate the effects of climate change. These efforts have earned the Peruvian anchovy fishery recognition for part of FAO in its report “Adaptive management of fisheries in response to change climate”, of which we are very proud. In addition, in collaboration with Produce and DS N ° 024-2016 PRODUCE, the “Electronic Logbook”, a tool that allows to obtain immediate information on the presence of juveniles and speed up decision-making such as decreeing closures and suspending fishing in a timely manner. Thanks to this, the anchovy biomass is in good health and borders 10 million MT. Those mentioned are some examples of what has been done in favour of the sustainability of fishing. Likewise, it is important to realize that if we are committed with a better future, we must get down to work. The results will accompany. From our organization, we reaffirm once again our desire to continue working in a sustainable way and always supporting these initiatives that ensure the care of the resources.
