After
weeks, the government has allowed that some economies can be reactivated under
certain parameters. We are prepared to start today the first fishing season,
regulated by strict protocols determined by the Health Ministry and the
Ministry of Production, to guarantee the health and safety of our
collaborators. But besides that we have gathered the best industry practices,
we even had the initiative to apply molecular testing’s to our fleet.
The
authorization from PRODUCE has been given for the anchovy and white anchovy
fishing in the north and central area of the country, with an assigned quota of
2.413 million of metric tons (MT). The season ending date will depend on the
time that will take to fish the total limit assigned. For the sector, to start
fishing again is satisfactory, because we have been working for over three
weeks implementing improvements on our fleets and operation plants, and also
doing maintenance work, obeying thoroughly the protocols, supervised by SGS
Peru, a third-party auditor wich confirmed it is being done successfully.
This
steps we have been taking, had been thought through every process and on each
person who is part of our company: the staff transportation on private buses,
the temperature measuring, the correct use of masks, the 6 feet distancing
respect, the implementation of disinfection spots, the isolation of the fleet
in hotels located near to the operation areas, the quick and molecular
testing’s, these are some of the precautions taken so none of our collaborators
is exposed to a potential infection risk.
From Hayduk Corporation we are ready to begin this new
stage, being aware that we will begin in a different way than other years, but
with the same conviction of continue providing the best nutrition to Peru and
the world, protecting our collaborators and their families health and
well-being.
